Psychological Testing & Assessment
Psychologists use tests and other assessment tools to help observe and measure a person’s cognitive and psychological functioning to arrive at a diagnosis and guide treatment. Consider a patient with pain in their arm after a sports injury. The doctor will ask questions (interview) and perform an x-ray (testing), make a diagnosis (fracture), then attend to treatment (cast for 4 – 6 weeks).
You may wonder why you’ve struggled to concentrate in school or have difficulty passing state or national exams. You might have questions on why you think or behave a certain way. You may simply want to better understand yourself to help guide you throughout the course of your life.
We offer psychological testing and assessment for individuals ages 18 and older to meet these needs. A full service includes a clinical interview, psychological testing, a typed psychological report, and feedback session. The psychological report will be descriptive and informative, to help the client fully understand their psychological and cognitive functioning. It will include, if necessary, a diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
